Welcome to my website! Please take time to explore my life as a musician, teaching and performing music that I love. Along the way, you will hear me play some of my most loved compositions for piano, and discover that I have a small, strange connection to Glenn Gould as a result of a piano that I own, Steinway CD 131, which was given a strange nickname in the 1970s, the “Mussen Special.”
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, would like more information about the music you hear, pianos, or are interested in studying music with me. Just click on “Contact” at the top right corner of the Home Page, and you can send an email.
If you are interested in studying piano, harmony, counterpoint, or music history, please contact me by email through this website.
Unlike other artistic pursuits such as painting, sculpture, writing, videography and at times, architecture, the performing arts are ephemeral, transient – lasting only as long as we are on the stage. Yes, they can exist in our memories, but the performances are inaccessible to all except ourselves.
